Groton Police Use Communication Skills in Dangerous Situations

Having lived in Groton since 1991, I know how skilled, dedicated and well-trained the Groton Police force are. I want to thank Chief Luth for making available to the officers the state-of-the-art Mobile Training simulator as described in the January 17 edition of the Groton Herald.
Members of the Groton Police Department tested their skills in a unique training program, "practicing responses to a variety of serious situations, or high-risk incidents."
The Herald described the "the portable, self-contained firearms interactive program" as a way to help increase collaborative, peaceful communication skills when police are in dangerous situations. We are fortunate to have Chief Luth's leadership, and to have police officers who are willing to give their time and energy for this valuable training, on behalf of all of us in Groton.

Sincerely,
Barbara J. Rich
