The Community Will Benefit From This Eagle Scout Project

Dear Editor,

A Boy Scout Eagle Project has been planned to upgrade and do maintenance work at the Cow Pond soccer fields.  Thomas Wong, who will be entering his sophomore year at GDRHS, has created a plan and is preparing to implement work on repairing and painting the kick wall as well as much needed maintenance on the concession stand. Thomas will be addressing deteriorating structural issues on the building as well as exterior scraping and painting.

As part of his project, Thomas needs to raise funds in order to fulfill his Eagle Scout Project requirements.  As the “keeper” of the concession stand, I am requesting anyone wishing to help Thomas achieve his financial goal of $1,000, the amount he envisions he will need to cover his costs, to send in a check to assist him in this Project.  Checks should be made out to:  Troop 1, West Groton and mailed to:  Troop 1, West Groton, c/o Thomas Wong, 97 Wintergreen Lane, Groton, MA  01450.

Both Thomas and I thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity and we, as a community who will benefit from Thomas’ commitment, look forward to seeing and enjoying the results of his completed Eagle Scout Project.
