Athletic Booster Club Phonathon to Begin March 4

The Groton-Dunstable Athletic Booster Club will begin its 2013 Phonathon on Monday evening, March 4. The Phonathon, the major fundraiser of the year for the Booster Club, will run for a three-week period, with calls being made by our student-athletes each weeknight, Monday through Thursday evenings, ending Thursday, March 21.

The student-athletes will be placing calls to residents in both the Groton and Dunstable communities, with calling times being from 6:30-8:30 p.m. each night. All residents of Groton and Dunstable are encouraged to respond generously when receiving calls from our students-athletes.

Money raised each year from the Phonathon provides scholarships to senior student-athletes as well as providing financial support to help supplement the Athletic Dept. over and above its allocated yearly budget.

We are hopeful that the Booster Club can once again merit the support that we so much depend on in order to support our coaches when financial requests are presented, as well as to continue to distribute scholarships to worthy senior student-athletes. The Booster Club supports both middle school and high school athletes.

Please respond as generously as you are able this year when receiving calls from our local student-athletes in the coming weeks. Thank you, in advance, for helping to sustain the Booster Club with your generosity and much-needed financial support that goes directly to our athletic programs and student-athletes.
