LETTER: Becky Pine Favors Keeping Senior Center in West Groton

To The Editor,

I want to clarify comments I made at the first session of Town Meeting, as I know I did not express myself clearly. I am strongly in favor of providing the much needed additional space required to meet the needs of our growing Senior population, and of keeping the Senior Center at its current location in West Groton. I am also in favor of keeping the costs and tax impact of this building project as low as possible. As the design process moves forward, I hope that we will evaluate whether a renovation/addition project is more cost effective than an entirely new building. New information leads me to believe that our vote on Article 10 will allow this. I urge everyone to support Question 2 on the ballot on May 16, so we can proceed immediately with this long-overdue project.

Becky (Rebecca) Pine
