In accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40C, the Groton Historic Districts Commission (GHDC) will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 7:30 pm at The Groton Town Hall, First Floor Meeting Room, 173 Main Street, Groton, MA 01450. This meeting will be held to consider the application submitted by Attorney Bob Collins, seeking a Certificate of Appropriateness for 218 Main Street, Assessors Map 112-94 to add an addition to the rear of the church building. Copies of the application and supporting materials are available for review by contacting the GHDC via the Land Use Dept, 2nd floor of the Town Hall.

At its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 6:35pm in the Town Hall lower level, the Dunstable Conservation Commission will consider a Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) to replace the existing well at 155 Off Pond Street.  Request submitted by Roberta Servente from 155 Off Pond Street, Dunstable, MA 01827.  The Commission will make its determination in accordance with the provisions of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L. c.131 § 40, its associated Regulations (310 CMR 10.00) and the Town of Dunstable General Wetland Bylaw.  The RDA is on file in the Commission office at the Town Hall.  Please call 978-649-4514 x230 or email CRock@dunstable-ma.gov to review the application.

Town Center Overlay District, Special Permit & 

Site Plan Review

In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 40A, §§ 9 and 11, M. G. L., and the Code of the Town of Groton, Chapter 218, the Groton Planning Board will hold a virtual public hearing via Zoom on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 7:00 PM to consider the application submitted by CJS workshop LLC for Site Plan Review and a Special Permit in the Town Center Overlay District.  The proposal is to utilize the existing premises at 25 Station Avenue (former GELD Garages, Assessors’ Parcel 113-56) for logistic turnaround and active storage to support CJS workshop’s expanding business.

Fitch’s Bridge Road RDA

In accordance with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L Ch. 131, Sec. 40 and the Groton Wetlands Protection Bylaw, the Groton Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. to consider a Request for Determination of Applicability by the Nashua River Watershed Association to restore the riparian zone along the Nashua River. The proposed work includes removal of invasive species and planting of native trees and shrubs. The subject property is located off Fitch’s Bridge Road (Groton Assessor’s Parcel 216-61). The Groton Select Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 6:15 P.M. in the Groton Town Hall, Second Floor Meeting Room, 173 Main Street, Groton, MA, to discuss and consider a new liquor license applications submitted by Indralok, Inc. (dba Country Farm), with Jaydeep Patel named as Manager, for Off-Premise Retail, All Alcohol Package Store Licenses for the premise located at 127 Main Street, Groton, MA.

The work session will be held virtually via Zoom meeting and in person at Town Hall, on a Request for Determination of Applicability filed with the Conservation Commission by Patrick & Rebecca Christman. The property is located at 8 West Elm Street (Assessor’s Map 48, Parcel 19). The proposed project is for the construction of a deck within 100 feet of a bordering vegetated wetland.
