PUBLIC FORUM/HEARING ON PRESCOTT SCHOOL

   The Capital Planning Advisory Committee will hold a public forum/hearing on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. in the Second Floor Meeting Room of the Groton Town Hall, 173 Main Street, Groton, MA.  The purpose of the Forum/Hearing will be to discuss the future of the Prescott School, including the direction of the programs at the School and the subsequent needs of the building itself over the next five to ten years.  The Public is invited to attend and participate in this forum.

   The Groton Electric Light Department is requesting bids for one (1) 15kV S&C VISTA SC Padmount Switchgear.

   Bids will be received until 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the offices of the Light Department, 23 Station Avenue, Groton, MA  01450 at which time bids will be opened publicly and read aloud.

   Bids must be received in triplicate in a sealed, opaque envelope marked “BID FOR 15 kV PADMOUNTED SWITCHGEAR, BID NO. 905100-01”

   The contract documents can be examined and obtained at the offices of the Groton Electric Light Department or received via email by calling 978-448-1150 or emailing Tammi Lemire at tlemire@grotonelectric.org.

   All bids must be made on the Bid Form provided in the specifications; Groton Electric specifically reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any irregularities or informalities, or to accept any bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Groton Electric Light Department.

   Annual dog registrations are due no later than February 28, 2023. The dog registration fee is $10 per spayed or neutered dog, $15 for an unaltered dog. The late fee, effective March 1, is $10 per dog. 

   Dogs can be registered at the Town Clerk’s Office, 173 Main Street, Groton. Office hours are Monday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Online registration is also available at www.grotonma.gov. The Town Manager of the Town of Groton, Massachusetts is seeking proposals for the Nod Road Sewer Pump Station Evaluation, Design Services, Bidding and Construction Oversite of this facility. Funding for this work will come from American Rescue Plan Act Funds provided to the Town of Groton through a Federal Grant.  

Minimum requirements for this work include previous experience in engineering/design of Waste-Water Pumping Stations. Proposals will be accepted from individuals, firms, or groups of firms with the demonstrated expertise and experience in these areas of practice.

All interested persons should contact Mark Haddad, Town Manager, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday at 978-448-1111 or mhaddad@grotonma.gov to request the RFP packet or additional information as needed.  Persons/firms that intend to submit a proposal should send notification of intent to the Town of Groton with the firm’s name and contact information in case of addenda or other changes.

PUBLIC HEARING

   The Groton Community Preservation Committee (CPC) will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 7:00 PM at the Groton Town Hall to receive public comments on newly submitted Community Preservation Act proposals.  The CPC is seeking input from the public before making its decision on which of the proposals (if any) to recommend to Town Meeting for funding.  A positive recommendation by the CPC will send a proposal to the 2023 Annual Spring Town Meeting where voters will decide whether or not to fund the project from the Town’s Community Preservation Fund. Copies of the complete draft proposals are available by email request to CommunityPreservation@grotonma.gov.
