 The Town of Dunstable is soliciting bids for the following services in accordance with Chapter 30, §39M, Massachusetts General Law.

"Renovation of Town Common Bandstand”

The estimated value is Not to Exceed $69,000. All contracts must be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of this Invitation for Bids. The Town of Dunstable has no discretion under the law to consider bids that fail to comply with those requirements, except for minor informalities as permitted by MGL. If it becomes necessary to revise any part of this IFB or otherwise provide additional information, an addendum will be issued to all prospective bidders who received copies of the original request.

Specifications and bid materials are available on the Town of Dunstable website www.dunstable-ma.gov. Contact: Jason Silva, Town Administrator, Town Hall, 511 Main Street, Dunstable, MA 01827, telephone number (978) 649-4514, beginning immediately, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Sealed bids are due no later than Monday, October 2, 2023, at 4 PM and should be mailed or delivered to Jason Silva at Dunstable Town Hall, 511 Main Street, Dunstable, MA 01827. All bids must be received by this date and time to be considered. 

Prevailing wages as determined by the Department of Labor and Industries under the provisions of Massachusetts General Law c. 149, s.26 apply to this contract. A 5% bid deposit and 50% payment bond are required based on the not to exceed value of $69,00.00 and must be submitted with the signed contract. 

OSHA 10 certification to be submitted with bid and is required for any worker performing work on Town property. The Town of Dunstable reserves the right to reject any or all bids when it deems to be in the best interest of the Town. A contract award will be made within 30 days after the bid opening.

In accordance with Chapter 30B, Section 15 of the Massachusetts General Laws, notice is hereby given that the Town of Groton will hold a public auction of surplus vehicles and miscellaneous items on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Groton Town Hall, Second Floor Meeting Room, 173 Main Street, Groton, MA 01450.  The vehicles and miscellaneous items to be auctioned include a 1986 GMC Catch Basin Cleaner, a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado S-10 Pickup, an Elgin Sweeper, a 2011 Chevrolet Dump Truck, 2007 Crimson Fire Engine, (2) tables, and a three-drawer file cabinet. A complete list with additional details can be obtained by emailing townmanager@grotonma.gov.  Terms of sale: The vehicles and miscellaneous items are to be sold as is without warranty expressed or implied and may have minimum bid prices set.  The Town of Groton reserves the right to reject any and all bids if it is determined to be in the best interest of the Town.  Every bid must be accompanied by a signed non-collusion form.

The two properties to be sold, leased, or restricted permanently in whole or in part are as follows:

1. Parcel 249-51, located on Hoyts Wharf Road and consisting of approximately 10.4 acres

2. Parcel 249-57, located on Cow Pond Brook Road and consisting of approximately 24 acres

A complete RFP Package containing a copy of a plan showing the Property and information relative to the submission requirements is available at the Town Manager’s Office, Town of Groton, 173 Main Street, Groton, MA 01450, or by calling (978) 448-1111, Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, or by email at: townmanager@grotonma.gov. Proposals must be submitted by October 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM to the Office of the Town Manager. The Town reserves the right to cancel this RFP or reject any or all proposals if it is determined to be in the public interest to do so. The Request for Proposal and supporting documentation does not constitute an offer or agreement to sell or convey the Property. Such an offer and agreement may result only from a duly adopted vote of the Town’s Select Board, the execution of a purchase and sale agreement pursuant to said vote, and a vote authorizing the sale at the October 28, 2023 Fall Town Meeting.
