The Groton Water Department will begin the Fall flushing of the water distribution system on Tuesday, October 24th and it will run thru Friday, October 27th , 2023. All water main flushing occurs during the daytime hours typically between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. We anticipate the flushing program will take approximately two weeks to complete. You will experience discolored water from time to time and low pressure during the flushing effort and we apologize for this inconvenience.

In the event that you experience a prolonged period of discolored waters, we recommend that you stop using water for ten to fifteen minutes, then run all of your cold water taps for 5 to 10 minutes or until it clears up.
