Groton Conservation Commission

   In accordance with the Wetlands Protection Act, MGL Ch. 131, §40, and the Town of Groton Wetlands Protection Bylaw, the Groton Conservation Commission will continue a public meeting on Tuesday, July 10 at 7:00 PM in the Groton Town Hall, 2nd Floor meeting room.  The purpose is to consider a Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) filed by Town of Groton DPW for the construction of a side walk and the repair of the headwall of the existing drain pipe at 80 Boston Road (Groton Assessor’s Parcel 222-22).  The proposed work is located within the wetlands buffer zone and the ACEC.

Copies of the RDA are on file in the Commission office in Town Hall.

On Septic/Well Variance

Public Hearing Notice

   Under the authority granted under Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 111, Section 31, the Groton Board of Health will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 7:15 PM in the Town Hall, 173 Main Street (second floor meeting room) to consider the application for the following variances from the Local Regulations submitted by NorthEast Classic Engineering, on behalf of Connie and Carl Haas:

   Chapter 315-1, testing requirement paragraph B, testing of class I soils in months other than March and April, this is an upgrade of a failed system.

   Chapter 330-4 well construction/ deconstruction permit, paragraph C requirements to connect to a municipal water supply if lot line is within 500 feet of a water main.

   The property is located at 95 Beecher Road on Groton Assessors’ parcel 125-12.

   Copies of the proposed variance request are on file in the Board of Health’s office in Town Hall.

   In accordance with the Wetlands Protection Act, MGL Ch. 131, §40, and the Town of Groton Wetlands Protection Bylaw, the Groton Conservation Commission will continue a public meeting on Tuesday, July 10 at 6:45 PM in the Groton Town Hall, 2nd Floor meeting room.  The purpose is to consider a Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) filed by Squannacook Greenways Inc. for the construction of a recreational trail along the MBTA rail corridor between the Townsend – Groton line and the Bertozzi Conservation Area (Groton Assessor’s Parcel 203-19)  The proposed work is located within the wetlands buffer zone, NHESP Priority Habitat, and the ACEC.

Public Hearing Notice

Stormwater Management Permit

   In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 198 of the Code of Groton, the Earth Removal Stormwater Advisory Committee will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 7:00 PM in the Town Hall (first floor meeting room) to consider the application for a Limited  Stormwater Management Permit submitted by DT Ward, P.C., to construct a parking area and stormwater management system as shown on the plan entitled, “Ward Holdings, LLC; Site Plan, 186 Main St., Groton, Massachusetts,” prepared by Ducharme & Dillis Civil Design Group, dated January 22, 2018.  The proposed development will be located on Assessors’ Map 113, Parcel 1, on the easterly side of Main Street. 

   Copies of the application and plans are on file in the Town Hall. The Town of Groton does not discriminate on the basis of disability. Special Permit – Section 218-23.1 Hammerhead Lots

   In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 40A, §§ 9 and 11, M. G. L., and the Code of the Town of Groton, Chapter 218, the Groton Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 7:30 PM in the Town Hall to consider the application submitted by Steven and Julie Roux for a special permit to create a hammerhead lot under the provisions of Groton Zoning Bylaw Section 218-23.1 Hammerhead Lots.  The project is located at 451 Boston Road (Assessors’ Parcel 118-2) and will result in the division of the existing 10.35-acre property on the easterly side of Boston Road into three lots as shown on the plan entitled, “Plan of Land in Groton, Mass. Owned by Steven J. Roux & Julie A. Roux”, prepared by David E. Ross Associates and dated June 13, 2018.
