Super Saturday Winter Wildlife Exploration: Free NRWA Program

What animals might live in the Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge? How do they survive in the cold, ice, and snow of winter? Join Nashua River Watershed Association (NRWA) Naturalists for a free “Super Saturday Winter Wildlife Exploration” Saturday, February 1, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Bill Ashe Visitor Center at the Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge, 80 Hospital Road, in Devens. Starting indoors at the Bill Ashe Visitor Center, there will be hands-on activity tables for close examination of mounts, skins, skulls, and tracks from animals found at the Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge. Participants will learn how these animals survive during a New England winter season. Additionally, join a guided hike to look for tracks and other signs of animal activity in the area.
