NRWA Summer Eco-Adventures for Youth

Nashua River Watershed Association's popular Summer Eco-Adventures will be back with these great options:

 

Wilderness Summer Survival Week, Ages 11-14, June 23-26 (Tues. - Fri.), 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Challenge yourself in nature with four action-packed days of hiking Groton trails through numerous conservation properties, paddling Squannacook River, developing summer survival skills, and exploring the inner world of our local river, woodlands and fields while making new friends. Outdoor adventure with River Classroom Director Stacey Chilcoat. Fees $200/NRWA members, $230/non-members.

 

Wild World of Water Week Ages 6-8, July 13-16 (Mon. - Thurs.), 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. Escape summer heat with a fun-filled four days all about water! Collect aquatic critters from Nashua River, make a fresh water aquarium, do water experiments, make mini-boats to race on mini streams, and stay cool with lots of water games. Perfect for nature & water loving kids! Fees $180/NRWA members, $210/non-members.

 

All Things Animal: Incredible Insects, Secretive Salamanders & Outrageous Otters, Ages 9-11, July 20-23 (Mon.- Thurs.), 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. From reptiles to mammals, this four-day program focuses on the amazing lives of our local wildlife. Collect fascinating insects, practice summer tracking skills, hike local trails and play animal camouflage games. Build animals homes and feeders with natural and recycled materials. Program fees $190/NRWA members, $220 for non-members.
