Make Mosaics and Watercolors at Senior Center

Groton Council on Aging presents two series of workshops at the Groton Senior Center on Tuesdays starting in April: glass mosaics in the mornings and water color painting in the afternoon.

Open Glass Studio at Groton COA
The Groton Council on Aging has been the beneficiary of a large donation of pieces of colored glass.  We will be holding an open glass studio on Tuesday mornings at10am, beginning April 4.  The first session we will practice on frames before delving into our larger projects. The open studio will provide students the opportunity to create mosaics on their own pieces including (but not limited to); table tops, trays, frames, canvas or other items they may find appropriate.  The only limitation is your creativity!  All supplies will be provided thanks to the generous donation of Ursula Graf and David Boyle of Nashoba Real Estate. Registration is necessary, please call the Groton COA, 978-448-1170.

Watercolor Painting at the Senior Center
The Groton Council on Aging will be offering beginner watercolor painting every first and third Tuesday, 1pm, at the senior center. Enjoy great conversation while creating an impressionistic  watercolor painting from beginning  to end.  Landscape scenes will be the focus with suggestions taken from the class.  Cost is $5 per class and includes all supplies.  For questions or to register, please call the COA978-448-1770.
