Groton Grange Program to Feature George Moore
The Groton Grange will host a special talk open to the public on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at the Grange Hall, 80 Champney St. at 7 pm.
Groton's Animal Control Officer George Moore will talk about different jobs in Town concerning agriculture, including annual animal inspections mandated by the Massachusetts Dept. of Agricultural Resources. He will talk about the Town Pound, which dates back to Colonial times when every town had a pound to hold loose or escaped animals.
