Groton COA Reopens to the Public

Groton Council on Aging will re-open at the Groton Cen- ter on Tuesday, July 6. Program- ming will be light during this first phase and with some optimism increase slightly in September. Current programs will include: Book club, Writing Creatively, Academy Award Movie Series, Yoga, Pilates, Bone Builders Strength Training with Elaine (DVD for the summer), Foot Care, Hearing Screenings, Ping Pong, Billiards, Pickleball and a new Watercolor Workshop.
At this time there are no plans to serve meals, however, COA will monitor the Governor and public health officials for guidance to reinstate those programs. Entrance to the Groton Center requires registration for a program or service or an appointment. Please call before coming so COA can con- trol the number of people in the building at one time. Masks and temperature monitoring will be required for everyone entering the building. The only exception to these guidelines is for masks when medical conditions prohibit them. Newsletters and other printed material and baked goods will be available in the immediate foyer so entrance into the lobby will not be needed; therefore, appointments to pick up a newsletter or for baked goods distribution is not needed. Please call to register or make an appointment, 978-448-1170.
