Fireman's Muster Is Fun for All

Parents look on laughing in pleasure as their boy plays at being a fireman driving an antique fire truck (Photo #2) at Annual Fireman’s Muster at H&V Field in West Groton.

The ever-popular hose contest, with kids (#4).

Firemen show their skills.

Groton's Annual Labor Day Fireman’s Muster began with a parade of new and vintage Fire Engines from many Massachusetts towns driving through West Groton Square (top photo), all with sirens wailing , air-horns blaring, American flags flying, and candy being thrown to children. The muster features demonstrations of firefighter skills, great food, a massive rummage sale staged by Groton boy scouts, and fun for all. Photos by Russell Harris
