Dunstable Hearing: Zoning By-Law Amendments

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

The Dunstable Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 7:50 p.m. in the Dunstable Town Hall, 511 Main Street, lower level, regarding proposed amendments to the “Zoning Bylaw of the Town of Dunstable” pursuant to Chapter 40A, Section 5, of the Massachusetts General Laws, as follows: 

Adding a new Section called “Adult Entertainment Facilities Bylaw”.

In Section 3. Establishment of Districts, adding “3.1. Zoning Districts” and amending “3a Overlay Districts”. 

In Section 6. R-1 Single Family Residence District, amending 6.1.(g).ii.2 from “one (1) person” to “four (4) people”; 

Removing Section 6.7.9. and renumbering 6.7.10., 6.7.11. and 6.7.13.

Newly renumbered Section 6.7.10. Minimum Special Requirements, amend (a) by removing “and containing a minimum of four (4) bedrooms”; and in (g) remove “a continental style”.

Section 12. Parking and Loading Areas, in Section 12.2.2. amend (d) by removing “lodging” and adding “rooming”; after the word “vehicles” add “and two spaces for those persons principally resident therein”; and in (g) after “authority” add “or as listed otherwise in this Bylaw”.

Section 15.2. Floodplain District, in Section 15.2.1 remove “The Floodplain District includes all special flood hazard areas designated as Zone A or Zone AE on the Town of Dunstable Floodplain District Overlay Map.”

Section 20. Definitions. Add a new 20.3 and renumber 20.3 through 20.35.  

In newly renumbered 20.21. remove “or Boarding”, after “accommodations” add “on a weekly or monthly basis for”, remove “I or” and change “arc” to “are”

Complete text of the proposed amendments to the Zoning Bylaw may be viewed at the Dunstable Town Hall, Office of the Planning Board (call for hours), Board of Selectmen, 511 Main Street, Dunstable, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday or by appointment and on the Town of Dunstable website (www.dunstable-ma.gov) under Planning Board Informational Documents.
