House Votes To Make Juneteenth State Holiday

Shelia Harrington voting with the unanimous majority, The House approved an amendment, 158-0, that would make Juneteenth Independence Day an official state holiday. The Senate still needs to act on the Juneteenth proposal and leaders in that branch have indicated support for making the day a state holiday.

Socially Distanced Programming Formats Keep Girl Scouts Active

Virtual meetings and “stay at home” programming have allowed Girl Scouts to stay connected and engaged throughout the pandemic. Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts has organized virtual sing-a-longs, meet-ups, “Camp Outside the Box” summer programming, and new badges for socially distanced activities.
